Device integration in the OR

With the advent of minimal invasive surgery several devices and system have become part of the surgical procedures. However most of the devices have been single islet system not integrated with the OR system as a whole. A few examples of commercial OR systems solutions have become available but these are dedicates to a single company and do not allow integration of most other devices. 

With the advent of novel standards such as  SDC (Service Oriented Device Communication) co developed at ICCAS options of integration of multiple vendor devices is now possible. By the example of collaborative robotics  for image guided procedures the integration will be presented and discussed.
