Implementing crossover science and technology in laparoscopic suturing training

Laparoscopic suturing has been considered as an essential technique among MIS skills. In comparison to sport science, the training model of laparoscopic suturing seems still primitive. A diversity of training menus for athletes are organized based on the concept of practice schedule. Advanced technology of motion tracking and image recognition are used to provide instant feedback to enhance the effectiveness, efficiency and practice safety. In contrast, objective learning outcome assessment for laparoscopic suturing takes long time, and is a huge burden so it is often being missed with or without intention in the curriculum. It is just the right time to upgrade our equipments for training our next generation.
