An Overview of Radio-Theranostics: Recent Advances and Prospects for the Future

Radio-Theranostics is an old but a new emerging field currently providing an unlimited possibility to the next generation precision healthcare. This talk will give an overview on the evolution over more than a decade, starting from those latest FDG application arising out of these unmet medical needs in neurology, cardiology and oncology. Such development further includes the PRRT and PSMA advancement in the cancer management of neuroendocrine tumors and prostate cancer, respectively, in which the critical development of the companion radiodiagnostics, and following various applications. Near-term plans for radiotheranostics will include the incorporation of image-guided biopsy and the combined treatment with robotic surgery.
