Brief Bio
After studying engineering physics with a major in flow cytometry at the University of Twente in 1991, Herke Jan Noordmans received his PhD from the University of Amsterdam in 1997 on the topic "Interactive Analysis of 3D Microscope Images. From 1998-2000 he worked as a post-doc for the department of neurosurgery at the UMC Utrecht working on visualization, navigation and image processing software for the treatment of epilepsy patients. From 2000-2004 he became a trainee in a clinical physics, thereby working on laser surgery and multi-spectral imaging to enhance contrast in human tissue through advanced spectral and image analysis. From 2004 he works as clinical physicist at the department of medical technology and clinical physics of the UMC Utrecht. Since then participated in several committees in- and outside the hospital such as: Central committee to analyse health care incidents Member medical staff Medical Technical Expert Medical Expert Review Committee Member Committee Science and Innovation of Dutch Society of Clinical Physics
